Good news! Adam Cole has left Roderick Strong's house after three weeks (!) of apparently living with him and The Kingdom in a situation that may or may not have been against his will but was at least captured by national television cameras should he be in any real danger.

The idea (and indeed this chapter of the story) felt like it jumped the shark on Week One, which is perhaps why the sight of that hideous-looking peanut butter and jelly sandwich being made and partially consumed felt as gross as the attempts at yet more comedy.

Your writer has a steadfast belief that funny can be money when - obviously - it's good enough for people to buy into, and Cole himself along with MJF had been proof of that up until the point that the former NXT Champion got injured at Grand Slam. Yet again though, this lacked actual jokes. You were invited to laugh at Matt Taven and Mike Bennett coming up with a neck-based parody song and Roddy hating the sarnie, but these weren't carefully constructed punchlines.

The merciful conclusion did bring about a development at least, and it was one pleasingly referred to constantly on the broadcast...
