6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday (Results & Review)

Downs....

4. A Clever Idea, But...

AEW Collision Timeless Toni Storm
AEW

In a really clever idea, Toni Storm "starred" in a silent film in order to fill time during picture-in-picture and repel viewers away from NXT. A fantastic marriage of character and device, this was far better than watching the boring bit of a match slow down because nothing can realistically happen.

The problem - and Storm is still really over and otherwise hilarious, so it's not too big a one - is that her acting was cringeworthy, and it was difficult to work out what she was doing, exactly, beyond some hammy...things. There was more than a Fandango week three undertone to the skit.

Put it this way: if you're alarmed about AEW's NXT-style leanings, this was not going to make you think the power is back.
