6 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's NXT (19 Feb)
Ups...
6. The Cruiserweights, Again
I could just copy and paste this entry from virtually every single installment of this article but, without exception, every single time NXT has showcased the Cruiserweight Championship, the match has been one of the highlights of the night. Lio Rush and Jordan Devlin, the latter defending his title for the first time since winning it at World's Collide, posted a match that will live long in the memory.
The belt has made a star of Rush since his return to WWE, and the fact Angel Garza immediately felt like a big deal on the main roster is partly due to how great his matches in the division have been. Devlin could very, very easily be the next to benefit from this sort of platform, and those 'Mini Balor' barbs from the inaugural UK Championship tournament feel a lifetime ago.
A frantic, smash-mouth, TV encounter (that crucially left a lot in the tank for a rematch down the line) was a huge opening match for this week's episode, but did remind everyone of why this match could easily have featured on TakeOver proper.
