6 Ups & 4 Downs From NXT TakeOver: XXX
1. Doomsday Arrives
After months of warnings and vicious displays of power and dominance, Doomsday is finally here. Holy sh*t.
Yet, if you thought Karrion Kross was simply going to walk over the 'Limitless' NXT Champion Keith Lee, you had another thing coming, my friend.
Showing the sort of genuine babyface heart and fire which rarely finds its way onto WWE programming in modern times, Lee battled his way out of Kross' persistent attempts to permanently divorce the Champion from his left arm.
The look on the indomitable Kross' face whenever Lee found a way to power out or summon up unimaginable strength to fight his way back into the match told you everything you needed to know. Kross had never faced a man like Lee and it would take all of his skill and ruthlessness to conquer such a threat.
In the end, after hijacking the champ's high risk attempt at desperate offence and nailing him with a Doomsday Saito Suplex, Kross was able to do exactly that. Oh, and he also happened to do it with a f*cking separated shoulder.
The only downside of this unbelievable turn of events is the fact that Kross' reign may now be in jeopardy, mere hours after he climbed the mountain so early into his NXT career.
For Keith Lee, though, this loss means that he's gone from North American and NXT title holder to Doomsday victim in a matter of weeks. But, on the bright side, this conclusion now sets the stage for one of the most compelling comebacks in NXT history.
