Heading into the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match, no one expected the New Catch Republic to do little more than put up a good fight against the Judgment Day.

But fans got more than they bargained for with this match, as Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne kept the tag champs on their heels throughout the match with a blitz of offense, including several unique double-teams. There were a couple spots where you couldn’t be blamed if you lost yourself and just assumed that they were switching the titles.

However, Dominik Mysterio played his role perfectly, saving Finn Balor and prolonging the match long enough for Judgment Day to overcome and retain the tag titles. For Bate and Dunne, they got to show a lot more of their skills in a setting that made them look like serious players rather than a novelty tag act.

Surprisingly good, competitive match in what should have been a simple forgone conclusion.
