6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (13 May - Results & Review)

UPS…

6. Another Of Dominik’s Strays

Carlito Pete Dunne
WWE

As a heel who managed to piss off an entire stable in the LWO, Carlito would be wise to seek refuge and find numbers to back him up. Hence, his overtures to the Judgment Day make perfect sense.

Carlito once again pleaded his case to the group – or more accurately the stable’s holdout and de facto leader, Damian Priest – pointing out that they all dislike Rey Mysterio, and that Judgment Day is shorthanded without Rhea Ripley and while Dominik Mysterio is on the shelf. Of course, he couldn’t help but make a couple snide comments, because he’s Carlito.

Priest, still doing a slow-burn babyface turn, wanted nothing to do with Mr. Colon, until he earned some respect by assisting in the tag title number one contender’s match. Carlito as an inadvertent wedge between Priest and the rest of the group is a good little angle, especially if he ends up pulling Judgment Day into a feud with the LWO and gets them to fight his battles for him.

The other fun dynamic is Dominik once again bringing yet another Latino stray into the clubhouse after befriending Andrade, and then partnering with Santos Escobar and Legado Del Fantasma.

There could be something more to the younger Mysterio constantly trying to befriend other Latino wrestlers, or it could just be that he’s terrible at making friends outside of his stable. Regardless, it’s going to come back to bite Dom when his attempts at finding new allies keep backfiring on his current running buddies.
