6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (14 August - Review)

4. Simple, Straightforward Motivation

Shinsuke Nakamura Seth Rollins

Why Shinsuke, why?

Oh, Nakamura just wants the World Heavyweight Championship. And he wants to get an edge on Seth Rollins. That’s why he blindsided the champ with a Kinshasa last week. Sometimes, you don’t need some great motivation or long, detailed explanation of your internal struggle. Just, “I want the title” will suffice every now and again.

Rollins of course as the fighting champion accepted this challenge Monday night, only to be stunned by something Shinsuke whispered to him, only to eat another Kinshasa via sneak attack. This was mindgames without the announcers using that term repeatedly to drive the point home.

Make no mistake: This feud isn’t going to captivate fans’ imaginations or set the world on fire. But as a challenger stepping up because he simply wants a world title he’s never captured, Nakamura is a fine opponent for Rollins.
