3. Riddle And Gable Are Good At The Wrestling

Matt Riddle and Chad Gable are quite good professional wrestlers, so if you put them in the ring and let them go, they can put on a pretty good match. Who knew?

The two tangled a week after their buddies Elias and Otis collided, with Otis coming out on top. WWE logic dictated that Riddle should win so we get the 50/50 booking to lead to a tag match. All signs were pointing to that outcome, as Riddle has main-evented a PLE this year, and Gable has been a jobber-to-the-stars the past several months.

Instead, after a hot sequence of near-falls and submission attempts, Gable grabbed a backslide and scored the pin – with a little help from the ropes… and Otis.

Now, if only WWE can get away from Riddle’s bongos and focus on the entertaining guy who can wrestle, rather than the stoner jokes… or at least stop making them the focus of his character again. It nearly killed him off before RK-Bro, and it could hurt him again.
