6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Results & Review - 22 Jan)

3. Antlerless And Heatless

For all the good that is happening at the top of the women’s division, there are some serious deficiencies lower on the card.

Ivy Nile has been a bright spot since her callup, but her match against Valhalla Monday night was not good. It felt sloppy, like they were on different pages at times. Nile looked hesitant, almost double-clutching, while Valhalla alternated between playing “unhinged” while taking traditional wrestling bumps.

The finish saw the two women fight gingerly up top, with Ivy taking what seemed like a lifetime to set up her new finisher, a top-rope bulldog dubbed the Pitbull. The move itself didn’t look terrible, but when a move like that takes a solid 20 seconds to set up, you might want to rethink it as a finisher.

Oh, and Nikki Cross was visible in the background doing her zombie walk across the entrance way during this match. Because what was needed here was Nikki continuing her “zoned-out crazy” gimmick.
