Ups…

6. More Rollins Versus Lashley Please

It’s rare this day to see a marquee matchup among WWE veterans that hasn’t been done to death, but Seth Rollins versus Bobby Lashley somehow has managed to feel like a fresh pairing.

The two tangled for the United States Championship on Raw in only their fifth singles match in four years, two of which took place in 2018. Rollins had slick counters to Lashley’s insane power game, and Bobby just wasn’t having Seth’s antics, overcoming some of his trademark offense with sheer athleticism.

Yes, this match had a bit of hijinks at the end, with Rollins breaking the Hurt Lock with a low blow, and Matt Riddle providing a distraction to help Lashley out. But still, it was a star-powered opener with high stakes, big moves and fairly good finish.

This doesn’t mean we want to see this matchup every week for the next two months, but build a program around it and run it back and we’ve got something here.
