6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (21 Feb)

1. A Moment Of Bellas

SmackDown could've done without that 'A Moment Of Bliss' segment featuring The Bella Twins. It was another example of hammy dialogue, wasted minutes and bad acting. Sorry, but it's true. This writer is a huge Alexa Bliss fan, but her talk show stuff is the pits, and it's a constant blight on WWE programming.

Piper's Pit, this isn't. Hell, it's barely even Miz TV.

Nikki and Brie oddly came across as z-list celebrities doing some crossover promotion work with WWE. That's weird because they do have more credibility than the internet might lead you to believe as Hall Of Fame inductees. Both have been part of some huge stories in the past, and they did play a role in the female roster's evolution from Divas to serious pro wrestlers.

Even so, there was little to enjoy here for even the biggest Bella mark. This was as basic a segment as you're ever likely to see, and it was another misuse of TV time; Daniel Bryan vs. Heath Slater could've used some of the minutes this guff swallowed.
