6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (21 Feb)

2. An Unreal Conversation

Sonya Deville Mandy Rose Tucker
WWE/FOX

Pro wrestling has a real problem when it comes to human beings conversing naturally.

When Tucker blasted Mandy Rose for texting Otis to say she'd be late for their Valentine's Day date, Mandy failed to interject and say something like, 'Tuck, I didn't send any text, so back off'. Also, Tucker decided to blame Rose for replacing his brother with Dolph Ziggler when the cameras caught Dolph muscling in last week.

Apparently, nobody watches the show they're part of, and Rose (who had been a mouthy heel bitch for the longest time before this) doesn't feel comfortable explaining that this text business is nonsense. Meanwhile, Sonya Deville stood there in the background looking miffed and then told Mandy she "dodged a bullet".

The entire skit came off as unnatural, and it seems the next plot twist will involve Sonya being outed as the one who texted Otis in the first place. If this turns into some sports entertainment attempt at a sensitive lesbian angle, then expect the worst.
