6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 5)

Onto the good stuff.

It's smart to present Carmella as a roadblock for Bianca Belair, for multiple reasons. Firstly, WWE have time to kill before WrestleMania (two pay-per-views, to be exact). Second, 'Mella should be a delusional bitch who doesn't care about losing to Sasha Banks. She definitely should believe she's still owed something...even though she's not.

Beating Carmella will be a nice gateway to Sasha for Belair, assuming that's the plan; it should be, because Banks herself showed some nice tweener-ish traits on SmackDown that mean WWE could pull this one off without turning either her or Bianca full-blown heel. That'd be a mistake with either at the moment.

Belair vs. 'Mella just works. It'd be a neat way to keep Bianca busy if the heel tricked her into putting her number one contendership status on the line at Elimination Chamber or Fastlane. Failing that, WWE can put the match on free TV.
