6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 5 - Results & Review)
1. Roman Reigns Looks Stupid
Heyman wasn't the only one who looked a little thick.
Roman Reigns is supposed to be a super-smart heel champ who sees what's going on ahead of time and calls plays in advance. That's why, in storyline, he's lasted so long on top. Here, the 'Tribal Chief' stupidly sealed his own fate for the Rumble by giving Nick Aldis the right to back him into a corner.
WWE GMs tend to go the most obvious route available. So, when Roman told Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso to wreck shop during the three-way headliner on SmackDown, he was making Nick's job easier. Aldis went all fan friendly (Adam Pearce style) to make the heel champion's life a living hell.
Some may argue that Roman is over-confident these days. He did laugh off suggestions The Rock might challenge him, after all, but...yeah - something didn't add up when Reigns and Heyman conspired to f*ck themselves over.
They should be smarter than that. They have been smarter than that.
