6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 14)

3. Short But Definitely Sweet

LA Knight

This is gonna be a fairly short entry, but a roundly positive one.

LA Knight came out in front of the live crowd in Raleigh to put forward his case for being the next United States champ. Everyone in attendance boomed with approval for Knight's catchphrases, and it's clear he had people in the palms of his hands. Dude's over, guys.

WWE didn't let LA go too long. This wasn't some 15-minute rambling rant about his own greatness, but more a short burst of ego-boosting vindication for a guy who has emerged as one of SmackDown's most must-see acts. Long may it continue, because organic crowd noise like that is addictive.
