6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 30)

2. Rock And A Hard Place

Liv Morgan Ronda Rousey

Does anybody have any desire to see Ronda Rousey and Natalya wrestle ever again? It feels like WWE has been there, done that, and this was yet another tepid clash between the duo on TV. They don't really have a ton of chemistry despite working extensively over the years.

Also, "extreme" Liv Morgan isn't clicking.

WWE has booked themselves into a rough spot with this Rousey vs. Liv feud. Ronda will look so weak as a heel if she comes up short come Extreme Rules, and Morgan will be totally dead as a babyface as soon as she drops the title; fans have been scattering in some boos whenever she shows up for months now.

The entire story, one built around spunky underdog Morgan finding a harder edge, is struggling to convince when that's going on. There have been good moments (usually Rousey's strait-laced promos), but the whole thing has been a hard sell.
