6 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (19 Jan)

Ups...

6. Keep Him On The Mic

Josh Alexander needs to cut more promos going forward. 'The Walking Weapon' can silence an audience with his words, as Ace Austin and Madman Fulton found out first hand.

Interviewed by Gia Miller, Austin made a valid point by questioning his absence from the planned Hard To Kill card. Having long been one of the company's top athletes, and considering his victory in the Super X Cup at Genesis the week before, it's genuinely a point you need to consider. What wasn't a valid point, though, was his harsh criticism of the pre-show bout involving Alexander. That match vs. Brian Myers, for a pre-show contest, was superb. Cue the former World Tag Team Champion to protest that nothing is ever earned in the wrestling industry - you have to earn it, something that Josh himself did.

A beatdown caught the attention of one Matt Cardona, resulting in a tag match next week pitting Austin and Fulton vs. Alexander and Cardona. That's sure to bang, and this was fire. No complaints so far as far as Josh Alexander's Impact singles run is concerned.
