6 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (19 Jan)

4. The Streak Continues

Brian Myers Fallah Bahh
Impact Wrestling

Brian Myers wrestled a meaningless match against Fallah Bahh this week. Usually, that would result in a Down, seeing as Myers has yet to be utilised properly since arriving in Impact Wrestling. That was, until your writer realised something, and by realised, it means Impact themselves referenced it on their Twitter. His victory over Bahh marks the seventh consecutive victory for 'The Most Professional Wrestler', alongside wins over Bahh on another occasion, twice against Josh Alexander, and once against Swoggle, Crazzy Steve, and TJP, respectively.

Your writer has never been one to shy away from berating Myers' Impact run thus far. With this winning streak, though, he's surely got to be in contention for a championship in the near future, right? Granted, the guys he's defeated aren't necessarily the biggest names in the company, however, he's now seemingly entered a rivalry with Eddie Edwards - the same man Myers faced in his official Impact debut for the World Championship. The former Curt Hawkins can hang with World Championship caliber talents. This streak is the thing to propel him towards the title.

For what it's worth, the match vs. Bahh was fine. Myers claimed to have been poked by Bahh, resulting in a low blow behind the referee's back and a stiff lariat for good measure. Had it not been for the revelation of this streak, it almost certainly would have made the list of Downs.
