6 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 27)

4. Five Flawless Seconds

Asuka Dana Brooke

Last week's Asuka vs. Dana Brooke bout was nothing more than a glorified squash, with 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' putting her foe away in under three minutes. It was excellent, but this? This was flawless.

It took the former NXT Champion just five seconds to overcome Brooke this time. Poor, delusional Dana made the mistake of charging her opponent at the bell, perhaps assuming that she's a slow starter, and paid dearly for her mistake. 'The Empress' countered the charge, locked Brooke in an armbar, and Dana had no choice but to tap, ending her own misery before Asuka snapped the limb.

Those obnoxious 50/50 matches with Emma are finally in the rear-view. WWE, to their credit, are absolutely nailing Asuka's push at the moment - long may her dominance continue.

The post-match was effective, too, with Paige, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville confronting Asuka following her victory. WWE showed uncharacteristic restraint in choosing not to have them pounce, preserving their inevitable physical interactions for a later date. Two thumbs up.
