6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Bad Blood (Results & Review)

Ups…

6. Belair Gives Heel Vibes

Being saddled with hosting duties for a PLE can feel like a pointless demotion for a gifted wrestler, but when it involves some character development, the assignment becomes a net positive.

The Women’s Tag Team Champions and Naomi hosted Bad Blood Saturday, opening the show in the ring and appearing in a couple of other segments. Before the WWE Women’s Championship match between Bayley and Nia Jax, Naomi voiced her strong support for her friend Bayley. For the second night in a row, Bianca Belair visibly cringed before saying she wished Bayley “the best of luck” and gave a disingenuous double thumbs-up.

The subtle (by WWE standards) heel work gave some meaning to a segment that often exists just to fill time. If Bianca is turning heel or getting more of an edge, this will be built upon going forward.
