UPS…

6. When ‘Can They Co-Exist?’ Works

Really, this should be a “down” for every other time WWE has done the mismatched tag partners and lamented throughout, “Can they co-exist?” ad nauseum… because for once, it was applicable and worked Monday night.

Jey Uso agreed to tag with Kevin Owens against the Judgment Day in Sami Zayn’s absence, creating a team where there was absolutely zero trust and very little expectation that this would work. Sure enough, despite the match proceeding fine for the first 90%, it was one errant superkick from Jey that threw everything off.

KO’s reaction afterward – telling Uso to go join his new Bloodline and dye his hair purple – was pretty spot-on, considering he already didn’t trust Jey.

Unfortunately, this comes on the heels of countless miscommunications in WWE tag wrestling, so it diminishes the impact, even though it worked in this case as a storytelling vehicle.
