6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (3 June - Results & Review)

4. New Day Flops

Final Testament
WWE

On one hand, it’s notable that WWE is at least trying to come up with an intriguing storyline involving the Final Testament and New Day.

On the other hand, the notion that Karrion Kross is going to break up Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston’s 10-year friendship by claiming Kofi is holding Woods back is laughable. Worse, the match that this burgeoning feud gave fans Monday night – New Day versus AOP – was so dull and lifeless that it should have triggered WWE pulling the ripcord on this story.

Apparently, the idea is that Woods will hold it against Kofi because Kingston wasn’t on the apron for a tag during the match. Because Xavier will never watch the broadcast back to learn that Kross lured Kofi off the apron.

AOP, meanwhile, might as well have been remote-controlled furniture as they lumbered around the ring for two minutes. Just completely uninteresting and uninspired stuff.
