6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (3 June - Results & Review)

UPS…

6. Making Money

Jey Uso
WWE

Money in the Bank is still a month away, and there’s another PLE between now and then, but that shouldn’t stop WWE from calling attention to one of its signature events.

Raw offered up two superstars who made their intentions clear Monday night that they are looking to capture the MITB briefcase next month. Jey Uso and Lyra Valkyria cut promos about the upcoming PLE and how winning Money in the Bank would be a huge career goal for both. Jey tied it to his yearlong journey to finally achieve singles success, while Lyra painted it as proof she could stand on her own two feet with Becky Lynch not around.

Both wrestlers have been featured heavily on Raw in recent months but don’t seem to be on the card for next weekend’s Clash at the Castle, so looking ahead to a potentially career-changing match is both believable and smart, both for the characters and for WWE itself.

These simple, short promos won’t make a highlight reel, but they were good little moments.
