6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 12 - Review)

4. The Man Delivers A Receipt

You know how you can tell WWE is being true to Becky Lynch’s character?

When the opportunity presented itself Monday for her to get revenge on Damage CTRL for last week’s mid-match attack, she didn’t cut a promo or drive a milk truck to the ring. She ran out of the crowd and attacked Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky before Bayley’s #1 contender’s match against Alexa Bliss and ran the tag champs off with a steel chair.

It was a perfectly logical storyline development that saw Becky be The Man and get a measure of revenge, leaving Bayley to have to face a fair fight against Bliss, which she sold on her face wonderfully. In a matter of two minutes, Bayley went from the picture of confidence to a woman shook. She was even more despondent when Bianca Belair came out, further dooming her chances of stealing a win – and that was played out during the course of the match.

We’ll have to see where things go next with Bayley and Becky, but let’s hope they build off this week’s effort.
