UPS…

6. Jey Gets Flirty

Little things deserve a mention from time to time, especially when their fun, subtle and consistent.

A couple of weeks back, Finn Balor was trying to win over Jey Uso and convince him to join the Judgment Day. He mentioned that everyone in the group liked him, including Rhea Ripley. The mention of her name sparked a “For real?” and inquisitive look from Main Event Jey, which got a legit laugh from the audience.

The following week, it was Cody Rhodes stirring the pot, telling Dominik Mysterio that Rhea isn’t as into him as he’s into her, suggesting that Mami could leave Dom-Dom for Jey.

Then on Monday night, Jey got in the ring with the Judgment Day and immediately welcomed back Rhea, saying, “We missed you… We all missed you,” while giving her a once-over. It wasn’t terribly subtle, but it also wasn’t so overt that Michael Cole was yapping about it. All of that baited Dominik into pledging to take care of Jey… and then earning a superkick to the mush.

Odds are that Ripley isn’t going to leave Mysterio – or Judgment Day – for Uso, but the little flirting and “hints” being dropped are just fun to follow, and if WWE decide to go in an unusual direction, the clues will all be there.
