6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Sept. 12)
4. SHUT UP
At what point can we get a serious petition going to separate Corey Graves and Byron Saxton permanently? Send one to Antarctica and the other to the Arctic Circle and leave them there.
Their constant bickering on Raw isn’t adding anything to the product. It’s not producing any good analysis or insight. It’s just annoying and distracting from the actual product. During Raw Monday night, the two yammered mindlessly over top of Johnny Gargano’s entrance, thus muting (to the TV audience) the impact of the crowd's reaction to his first match.
But it’s not just that. After years of listening to Graves and Saxton argue, you just go numb and lose track of all the bad moments. Oh look, Saxton the man-child said something dumb. Now Graves will talk about how he can’t get a date and lives with his parents, and then Saxton will make an insipid “comeback” to prove Corey’s point.
And Raw rolls on…
