6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 1)

2. Brock The Beast!

Brock Lesnar is at his best when he's a fire-breathing, German suplex-giving, fired up, angry son of a bitch. That has always been the case since he debuted back in 2002, and has arguably become even more essential to his act post-UFC and since he returned in 2012.

Fans crave this version of Brocky boy.

There's a unique catharsis that comes from seeing Lesnar destroy everyone in his path. The fact that Roman Reigns, who knows exactly when to show weakness, ultimately sh*t his wee panties helped greatly here too. This was all-round great telly, and it was the ideal way to kick off the episode.

No mucking about from Brock, Roman, The Usos or Paul Heyman. They were all business, and the same could be said of WWE's creative team. Credit where credit is due - this was terrific set up for the incoming match at Crown Jewel.
