6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 1)

3. Heel vs. Heel, Or…?

This seems like another dead cert for Survivor Series.

WWE made it very clear that brand switches won't come into effect until after Crown Jewel on 21 October. So, basically, SmackDown on 22 October will be the first proper night for stars on their new show. That could be where WWE starts really hyping up Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch.

This week, Flair arrived on Friday nights, attacked Bianca and Sasha post-main, then ran a dual pose with Bex - each woman held her title aloft, and Michael Cole seemed to near faint with excitement. Y'know what the best thing about all this is though? Becky could turn babyface again.

Why? Well, heel vs. heel feels so-so, and there's no way Flair is getting a babyface reaction from fans in 2021. People are dying to cheer for Lynch anyway, so WWE will probs cave in to demands sooner rather than later. If they fancy booking this match, then they might have to.
