6 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jul 29)

4. Tryhards Die Hard

Ricky Starks Brian Cage
AEW

Taz cut a good promo on Brian Cage's behalf last night, including a little jab at Jim Cornette, who recently criticised the ex-ECW man for standing in the foreground while 'The Machine' lurked behind. You know that Taz cut a good promo, though. It's what he does every week.

So how about Ricky Starks?

'Absolute' did a good job on the stick too. He apologised to Cage when he said nobody was better than him, calling himself young, handsome, successful, and everything your baby momma hoped you were. He's got something different. Criticising Darby Allin for wrestling like a crash test dummy, Starks said that when you go against him, Cage, and Taz, tryhards die hard - and he was digging two graves last night.

Another sign that Starks is going to be a star here. He is a very good pro-wrestler across the board, from his ring work to his promos, and viewers should bank on him succeeding.
