6 Ups & 6 Downs From Kane's WWE Career

1. Katie Vick

Poll a hundred different WWE fans on the crassest wrestling storylines of all time and an overwhelming majority will point to Katie Vick, an ill-advised necrophilia angle that should've left Kane's career stone dead.

Triple H had an axe to grind. 'The Big Red Machine' and Vick were in an unrequited relationship, he claimed. They went out to a party one night, but Kane swerved to avoid an animal on the way home, and Katie was killed in the accident. For his next trick, 'The Game' claimed that traces of semen were found in the corpse, leading to him dropping one of the Ruthless Aggression era's most skin-crawling lines: "did you force Katie into sex with you while she was alive, or did you just wait and do it to her while she was dead?"

The storyline's pièce de résistance and defining image was, of course, a scene in which Trips cosplayed Kane, invaded a funeral parlour, and feigned intercourse with a mannequin designed to resemble Vick. His final line? "I did it, I screwed your brains out." Great...

Necrophilia-themed mannequin sex probably isn't something that should've made it to mainstream wrestling television. It remains the most WrestleCrap-worthy moment of either man's career, and to make matters worse, Kane didn't even win the feud's biggest match, falling to 'The Game' at No Mercy.
