Last week, Tommaso Ciampa returned from a nine-month injury layoff and defeated former running buddy Miz pretty convincingly.

Time to move on, right? Wrong.

Yep, we got a rematch of that decisive match Monday night… only we didn’t, as Miz jumped Ciampa and laid him out at ringside, presumably setting up a rematch down the line, perhaps at SummerSlam. It’s sure to be a bathroom break match for the ages.

Poor Ciampa. He returns from injury after a horribly disappointing initial run as Miz’s flunky, looks to break out by beating him handily upon returning, only to now be mired in a feud that will probably now last for at least another month.

Miz is like the wish version of AEW Chris Jericho, engaging in lengthy feuds with hotter wrestlers that he ultimately ends up losing, but yet Miz somehow ends up getting all the screentime afterward.
