2. Give Them 15-20 At SummerSlam

Setting aside the entire “Damian Priest has officially entered the conversation…” b*llocks, let’s give it up to Sheamus and Priest, who had a satisfying appetizer of a match.

Priest basically made himself #1 contender for the United States Championship by beating the Celtic Warrior. The two veterans are perfectly capable of having a really hard-hitting match, and they flashed those moments, but they didn’t give it all away. Priest delivered a top-rope chokeslam and kicked out of Sheamus’ Alabama Slam and pump knee, which had fans roped in.

Watching this match, you get the feeling this could be a really good opener at SummerSlam if they tear into each other with strikes and stiff shots and near-falls galore. Sheamus usually rises to the occasion, and it could be a star-making turn for Priest.

One can only hope, and Monday’s bout fueled that hope.
