6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (March 7)

3. Stupidly Confusing

The Miz Logan Paul

There’s no doubt that Miz and Logan Paul are the heels in their feud with Rey & Dominik Mysterio. It might be the easiest face/heel dynamic we’ve seen in some time.

That’s why it was ridiculously confusing when the duo came out as self-proclaimed Cleveland natives playing to the hometown fans. Sure, we’ve seen villains do this before – and they almost immediately turn on their town and trash it for some godforsaken reason.

But in this case, they kept smiling and brought out another Cleveland native, Jerry “The King” Lawler, who traced his history with the city. Things finally fell apart when Lawler suggested that Cleveland could host a WrestleMania. Logan Paul immediately agreed; Miz declared that it “isn’t exactly a WrestleMania city.”

Miz then went on to finally turn heel on Cleveland, noting that he doesn’t live there anymore and that anyone successful just moves out, such as Lebron James and other sports figures. They then left Lawler in the ring, with Paul looking confused by Miz trashing Cleveland suddenly, as if he hadn’t been briefed on the promo.

It was just a dumb segment that served little purpose and wasn’t even a good “heel bashes hometown” promo.
