6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 23)

3. A Major Letdown

When the Hurt Business goaded New Day into a tag title rematch from last week, you had to feel like this was their night. New Day was worn out from a good match against the Street Profits at Survivor Series, and another good tag title match would really kickstart Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander as a tandem.

Instead, we got a count-out win for the Hurt Business in the lamest finish possible, followed by MVP goading New Day again into restarting the match, only for Xavier Woods to reverse a powerbomb into a sunset flip for the victory, making Hurt Business losers again and unsuccessful in three attempts at the tag titles.

Worse, the match(es) both before and after the restart, weren’t that good. They were sloppy and lacked coherence. All around, this was a pretty big disappointment.
