6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 23)

4. Couldn’t Fit The Champ In?

So there was enough time on Raw to retread the Undertaker’s farewell video and speech, eating five minutes, three(!) backstage segments with Adam Pearce setting up the three qualifying matches for a world title shot, and an admittedly amusing interaction between Riddle and MVP, but there wasn’t enough time for WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on Raw?

McIntyre lost a big match on Sunday night, so the idea might have been to keep him off TV to put some distance between the loss and his next appearance, even though Roman Reigns’ win was far from clean. But Pearce set the wheels into motion to name McIntyre’s next challenger, and the champ was nowhere to be seen.

It wouldn’t have taken much. Just a backstage segment with Drew promising to get even with Roman and his cousin later, but then turning his focus to doing what he does best, defending the world title. Say he’s looking forward to facing the winner of next week’s triple threat, and that would have been enough.

Instead, we got nothing… but we got Charly Caruso interviewing Pearce three times, so yeah.
