6 Ups & 7 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 17)
4. A Wild Tenille Appears
Bound For Glory on 20 October seemed very likely that it would mark Tenille Dashwood's final match for the company. She was reportedly only there on a pay-per-appearance basis, and since she failed to win the Knockouts Championship from Taya Valkyrie that evening, we haven't seen the Aussie in an Impact ring.
She made a surprise return this week, battling Jordynne Grace just weeks before 'Thicc Mama Pump' and ODB both challenge Taya for the Knockouts Championship. This was an extremely even bout, with both women getting in their share of offence, although the former Emma did have the advantage throughout, dropping Jordynne right on her neck with a rope-hung neckbreaker while also charging into her with a corner crossbody. Jordynne would eventually get the victory with the Grace Driver, with the pair showing a sign of respect to one another post-match, and rightfully so.
It was a fantastic offering from the knockouts division to open the show, with Tenille even saving Jordynne from an attempted ambush after the bell courtesy of Taya Valkyrie. The duo have some tremendous chemistry with each other, so let's hope this wasn't the last time we see them square off. Would anyone really be objecting to Tenille once again becoming a regular (or, at least, semi-regular) face in Impact Wrestling?
If you are, well, you know where the door is.
