6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (12 June - Review)

1. An Off Night For The Man And Co.

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is usually a reliable go-to for an in-ring segment or match that can suck you into the program.

But her go-round on Raw Monday night was less than stellar. Becks made her case for Money in the Bank and why the person holding the briefcase has more sway than a titleholder, but her delivery – not just her stumbles, but the actual delivery – was both stilted and frantic, hurriedly stacking up and spilling over as she talked about how the briefcase has enormous power over the champions.

An interruption from Zoey Stark should have livened things up, but their exchange fell flat, with Stark substituting yelling for showing passion and personality. It was definitely not her night, even though she had a killer line about Lynch only being relevant because someone broke her face.

Then there was Becky’s match with Chelsea Green, which was really pedestrian, just eating up time with one or two decent sequences in there.

All told, this was a really forgettable night for Becky and everyone else involved with her. It was not what you’d want expect given the players and the circumstances, so let’s hope it was just an off night for everyone and move on.
