6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (April 24 - Review)
UPS…
6. Impromptu, But Still Good
We’ve taken our swipe at the Cody Rhodes/Finn Balor match being thrown together during the show, but let’s give some credit for yet another good performance from two pros.
The outcome was never in doubt, but Balor kept Rhodes on the defensive for a while, and the two countered each other quite a bit as well, including a finishing sequence that saw each man escape the other’s finisher and signature moves.
But we knew Cody needed the win to right the ship and set himself back on the path toward facing Brock Lesnar in a couple weeks. Balor, on the other hand, can eat the loss and just continue to be the mouthpiece for the Judgment Day as the group heads into Backlash.
