6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 8)

2. Belair Is Ready For Asuka

Bianca Belair swung by Raw on Monday night to let everyone know she’s got eyes on Asuka as a possible WrestleMania opponent, and she held her own when face-to-face with the champ.

The Empress of Tomorrow congratulated Belair on winning the Royal Rumble, but then commented that she was not ready for her. Bianca looked like she was going to be the laughing babyface as she promoted the Raw Women’s Championship match at Elimination Chamber against Lacey Evans, but then snapped serious looking at Asuka and saying that if the Empress handled her business at the PPV, she could be seeing a lot more of the EST.

That’s the one thing about Belair that has made her such a perfect babyface: she has just enough of her heel persona edge that comes through – that serious look and warning issued was right on point. Hopefully, WWE doesn’t water her down further, because they would seriously lose something in that case.
