6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 37 - Night 2

4. Sheamus Finally Wins One

If you were to label one wrestler on Raw as the underrated MVP, it would have to be Sheamus.

For the past few months the Celtic Warrior has repeatedly had really good matches with a variety of opponents. He has been able to bring out the best in Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Riddle, but he seemed to be the odd man out. His friendship and feud with McIntyre was excellent, and honestly, it could have worked as a WrestleMania match, but he was on the short end of the stick.

So it was somewhat fitting that the Celtic Warrior got a shot at the United States Championship and delivered a banger of a match against Riddle… and managed to wrestle the title away from the Original Bro. The match had everything you could have asked for, including a jaw-dropping finish, with Riddle going for a quebrada and Sheamus Brogue Kicking him in the upside-down face.

Congrats to Sheamus, and here’s hoping that he gets a good and proper run with the strap. If he just continues what he’s been doing and wrecking opponents, it could be a good reign.
