5. Inoffensive 8-Man Tag Match
What can you really say about the eight-man tag match pitting Street Profits and the Mysterios against the Dirty Dawgs and Apollo Crews & Commander Azeez?
The match was perfectly acceptable wrestling, fast-paced and all action, with Angelo Dawkins getting to run wild in the closing moments before Montez Ford his a huge Cash Out for the win. The only criticism you could levy is that it really didn’t carry any stakes or gravitas other than giving the four teams some TV time to shine.
And then of course, the babyfaces had to reinforce the fact that it’s Royal Rumble season, with the Mysterios tossing the Profits over the top rope in a good-natured way, and then Rey dumping Dominik over the top and laughing about it while reminding him to keep his eyes open.
That part was kind of pointless, though it also could be foreshadowing if it happens for real and Dom snaps, or if he dumps his dad and gloats about it.
