Deonna Purrazzo is "a little disappointed" by the fact she hasn't been booked to defend her ROH Pure Women's Championship since beating Billie Starkz to win the belt at Final Battle on 5 December 2025. Since then, Purrazzo has wrestled under the AEW banner just 3 times, and only once in 2026.

Speaking via an interview with BCP+, Deonna described the situation as "defeating", and admitted she finds the lack of focus "really upsetting". For context, Purrazzo's only bout under All Elite's umbrella this year fell on the 5 February edition of Ring Of Honor - there, she teamed with Hyan and Maya World to beat Athena, Diamante and the aforementioned Starkz.

In a particularly telling statement, Deonna said: "I am constantly trying to rack my brain of like what else can I do and what more can I do and how much more of myself can I give". Nothing seems to be forcing Tony Khan to pay more attention to her or her title, basically.

Purrazzo clearly wants to make a splash in the promotion, but needs to given the chance. She continued: "A lot of my self-worth comes from my work and my body of work and being able to participate actively and feel like I’m making a difference in women’s wrestling".

In the interim, Deonna is accepting independent bookings away from AEW/ROH. She's also throwing her might behind some community/educational work with her husband Steve Maclin, but defo wants to wrestle more for AEW throughout the rest of 2026.
