6 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 17)

4. Choo-Choo!

All aboard the promo train! Yep, if it’s Monday Night Raw, then we must be spending the first 10-15 minutes of the show listening to a parade of superstars gabbing.

That’s exactly what we got, with Becky Lynch, Doudrop, Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan all coming out to jabber before their tag match. Becky called herself Vincent Van GOAT and said she got Doudrop her title shot (which is indirectly true). Doudrop disagreed and called it the biggest mistake of her career. Belair called herself the EST and announced for the Royal Rumble. Morgan announced that she was entering and winning the Rumble.

Finally, Doudrop summed up what everyone had to be thinking when she snored into the mic and yelled, “Boring!” and demanded the referee get in the ring to start the match.

But that was 12 minutes of yapping that could have been done in half the time. Oh, and the match that followed? It lasted about one-third of the time the promo train got. Sports entertainment at its finest.
