Jake Roberts' WrestleMania inconsistency was back at large as 'The Snake' blew his stack in an incredible pre-match promo the match couldn't ever live up to.

Dibiase had shelved Jake in storylines throughout much of 1989, but two of the wrestlers of the 1980s foreshadowed their decade of decline in a 1990 payoff gone sour. Roberts' hot pink tights were the only thing to look at in a deathly dull clash between two bonafide stars that could and should have done better.

Perhaps Dibiase was resting for his second shift...
