3. The Greatest Man That Ever Turned Heel

Next up was a backstage interview with Austin Aries - the first since he turned heel (or at least the first since he explicitly turned - he was using the same sort of superior attitude he's displayed for weeks). He started off talking about No Way Jose, but he soon turned his attention to another source of ire - the fans.

Aries said that when he first came to NXT, he didn't get the level of fanfare that he deserved, and that before long, fans were chanting "Austin sucks!" at him. That was unacceptable, so he decided that he had to adopt a new attitude - and if fans didn't understand where it came from, they could look in the mirror.

Even though NXT Champion Samoa Joe is a heel and a Joe-Aries match could be money down the line, it makes sense right now for Aries to be a bad guy. He has been overshadowed by Nakamura, and taking his character on a logical progression is the right thing to do.
