6 Ups And 1 Down From Last Night's WWE NXT (June 29)

1. Tag Team Turmoil

Gargano Ciampa American Alpha

Following their victory, Gargano and Ciampa reminded fans that they held a win over the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions, and that entitles them to a shot at the belts. That brought out American Alpha, who claimed that they, in fact, were next in line for The Revival.

Out next were the champs, who were none too interested in defending their championships against anybody. Their bravado got a little too intense, though, bringing out NXT General Manager William Regal. He reminded Dash and Dawson that he runs the show, then booked The Revival versus American Alpha in a two-out-of-three falls match for the titles on next week's broadcast.

When The Revival left, Gargano and Ciampa shook hands with the former champs - who were immediately attacked by The Authors of Pain. Gargano and Ciampa tried to help, but they were laid out as well, and even though Jordan was able to plant one of the Authors with a suplex, they still flattened him and Gable.

This segment was a nice reminder that the tag team scene in NXT is strong. Even though American Alpha will be leaving and The Authors of Pain haven't even had any TV matches yet, just seeing four teams together - all with something that makes them unique - bodes well for the division.
