6 Ups And 1 Down From WWE NXT (24 Jun)
3. Reed Between The Lines
Another example of taking the simple booking steps to benefit everyone involved, Bronson Reed got demolished by Karrion Kross this week but still looks a lot stronger than he did a few weeks ago. His short wrong-place-wrong-time story gave him the opportunity to call out the biggest thing on the entire roster, and despite the predictable outcome, it's been a great spotlight for him.
Kross won here, and won comfortably, but with Reed playing the bigger man in the contest it allowed him to show his resilience rather than just his power. Don't get wrong, he also comprehensively showed his power, but he hasn't been on the receiving end of much offence in NXT so his relative no-selling of Reed's big hitters added yet another terrifying string to his bow.
We know the winner will go onto the NXT Championship picture in the near future but, hopefully, Reed also gets something to work with going forward. He's a talented performer,
