6 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2016

5. Edge & Christian Still Have It

You€™ve got to give it up to Edge & Christian, who showed in their brief segment Sunday night that they still have the ability to entertain the audience. It also (somewhat sadly) showed just how underdeveloped most of the existing roster is, as two retired performers from a bygone era can easily outshine most of them.

Granted, New Day provided some pretty good sparring partners, but Edge saying that if he and Christian had a threesome with Beyonce that it would begat New Day as a spit-take moment. Referencing Lance Storm and Kofi Kingston€™s long-forgotten faux Jamaican accent in the same segment? That is something no one would have predicted.

If anything, the segment served one big purpose, and that was selling E&C€™s WWE Network show. It looks like it could really be worthwhile for those who enjoy the duo€™s brand of humor.
