6 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2016

4. Sasha And Becky Open The PPV

When was the last time a women€™s wrestling match opened a WWE PPV? Offhand, it has to be extremely rare, if not unprecedented. But Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Naomi and Tamina did just that at Fastlane, delivering a perfectly serviceable tag match.

That€™s not meant as a criticism toward the wrestlers. The match was fine, but it really only existed to serve a purpose: put Sasha and Becky in the spotlight six weeks out from WrestleMania and tease that they can€™t get along. (Spoiler: They did manage to get along.) The two former NXT women hit some tandem offense and pulled out the win over Sasha€™s former stablemates, pulling off a double submission on Tamina and Naomi.

Interestingly, Sasha and Becky didn€™t turn on each other during or after the match, but we also have six weeks until WrestleMania, which is plenty of time for them to double-cross each other in their quest for the Divas Championship.
