5. Bryan Strikes Back

It had been a couple weeks since we last saw Daniel Bryan, when he was dragged below the ring by The Fiend and had his hair ripped out.

So when Bryan resurfaced Sunday, it was with a new haircut and shorter beard – and a drive for revenge. D-Bry attacked Bray Wyatt moments after he defeated The Miz, hitting a running knee and then unloading on Wyatt as the fans went nuts.

Wyatt was able to escape in the dark before Bryan could used Bray’s mallet on him, but it sets up a build to Royal Rumble, where maybe, just maybe, Bryan can capture the Universal Championship. Or maybe he’ll finally win the Rumble itself to take The Fiend down at WrestleMania with the held of the Yes Movement.

Either way, this was a nice transition away from the very disappointing Miz/Wyatt match and gave fans something to look forward to.
